IF: Midsummer's Night

zdepski's painting Jake and Jennies, 2005
Jake and Jennies
4:30 am on a muggy summer's morning - Jake (Bottom) is interested in who's disturbing his nighttime frolic with the Jenny sisters.

Sorry I'm copping out with a painting from 2005, but I'm still framing my show. I have to deliver the pieces on Monday... setting glass, screwing hangers and tying wire. The tedium of being an artist.

I could use an assistant, but I don't trust anyone to do it the way I want it done.

Killer illustration. It's OK that its from '05, its a real painting, which speed is never a friend with. Plus, it totally fits the theme. Can't wait to see more of your stuff, I found you through IllustrationFriday.com!

This captures the mood of Midsummer Nights perfectly - especially those in Scandinavia where it won't be dark at all.

Good luck for your exhibiton!
